For over 50 years Tibet has seen the systematic destruction of its culture, religion and environment at the hands of its Chinese occupiers. Over 1.2 million Tibetans have died as a result of torture, execution and starvation. Over 100,000 have made the perilous trek across the Himalayas to a life in exile. In 1994 the Chinese government announced that a railway was to be built across Tibet to ease the way for more Chinese settlers, one of the biggest threats to Tibet today. Work has now begun on the railway. The Tibetan people continue their non-violent struggle for independence and freedom.

We have tried to capture the spirit of the occasion rather than achieve technical perfection. No blame.

PA by Fearless Audio. Tibetan vocal on intro to Last Train to Lhasa by the Potala Band taken from Songs of Tibet Vol 1. Flute on Heliopolis by Joe Marshall. Uncredits: Due to a rather complicated legal and political situation, we were unable to clear a vocal sample used on ‘887’. We have therefore had to edit that section out, which has left the track less than perfect, but it seemed best to still leave it on the CD anyway. Let’s pray for the day when we will all appreciate music for what it is, rather than for it’s financial or political value…</atom:content></atom:entry><atom:entry><atom:title>You Are Here</atom:title>

Music from You Are Here
<atom:content type="html">Tracks 1, 2, 3, 6 & 7 written by T. STILL LIFE
I don't need no soldier,
I've got my mind.
There's no division between the lines.
You get along in this rain, you'll be alright.
You carry on even when love's not there for you.

I long for emotion but
I seem to fade.
I long for devotion but
how will it stay?
How could love set
you free?
I own no soul to keep.
With you here, I could
be whole.

You make me divine.
How could love set
you free,
When you're not mine
to keep?
It's just fear I'll lose
And I just...

TONGUE IN CHIC
Glancing in the magazines, posing only please.
No music in the music scene, dues paid by DJs through modelling.
Now smile, head tilted to the side, headphones an accessory to the
crime.
No house arrest, no serve and protect, guilty of letting the music die.
(Buy, bye)

And I can't quite explain why it all sounds the same with no meaning.
And I don't understand why we throw up our hands without thinking.

Cell phone going off in my pocket, do you like it? It's the newest on
the market.
Hey, how's it going? Are you feeling the love? Are you in the moment?
Gotta keep moving, musn't relax. Am I doing this right? Do I look fat?
Hair's sleek with body and shine, I don't eat much but I feel just fine.

Popped up from the underground, it's the latest look, the latest sound.
Now smile, face of the future, don't worry we've already bought you.
The tribe, the vibe, keeping it alive, here we are dancing on the
razor's side.
We're all experiencing culture-block, we're keeping it real, we're ready
to rock.

And I can't quite explain why it all sounds the same with no meaning.
And I don't undertand why we throw up our hands without thinking.
And I can't quite explain, has the chip in my brain stopped working?
So I now undertand why I throw up my hands without thinking.

WAKING UP IN WACO
This world is your world, this world is my world,
From North Korea to Costa Rica.
From Alaska to Madagascar,
This world was made for you and me

This world is your world, this world is my world,
From Argentina to Tanzania.
From Caribbean to Antipodean,
This world was made for you and me.

GRAY OVER GRAY
Our subconscious leads our intentions,
Where the light ends gray over gray.
I can see forever all the way to yesterday,
Bleeding colors fall away, night skies with
no wars overhead.

Belief not limited,
One heart beating, one dream lived.
Overcast like a silent film,
Music leading us to sun.
Yet now our voices fade-paid, burned and paved.

Why such fervent preaching, when no blessings can be found?
Why then leave your aspirations in the dry and cracking ground?
I have prayed for absolution.
I have prayed for new language
I have served my intuition,
felt it cringe and hesitate

Innocence fades to shades of gray....
